Motorists at the north end of High Street are thanked for driving slowly through Weston Favell village - whether they did or not. The sign also features the coat of arms of Northamptonshire which has Yorkist and Lancastrian elements (including white and red roses) to commemorate the importance of the county in the Wars of the Roses. The Latin motto means 'A rose, symbol of peace'.
