Nottingham bus leaving Lambley
An Optare Solo Slimline of Nottingham City Transport pulls away from the last stop in Lambley proper, at the south end of Cromwell Crescent, on its way to Nottingham. The 47 has a somewhat convoluted route: it originates in Lowdham, only a few miles east of Lambley, but gets here via Epperstone, Oxton, Calverton, and Woodborough.

There is a marked footpath across to right of the houses but shows little signs of use at this point, although reasonably well used further along.

Cocker Beck, Lambley
The constrained and partially culverted course of the beck through the village means that it is susceptible to flooding after exceptional rainfall. Following such a flood in 2012, partly due to debris blocking culverts, this grille was installed, but a further flood ensued in 2019.
