LAMMA Newark & Notts Showground
The 2009 LAMMA show gets underway at the Newark & Nott's showground. A 2 day farm machinery show that gets bigger every year. Free entry, free car parking means huge attendance from the farming community. LAMMA is the Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association. Originally set up to promote farm machinery made in Lincolnshire, so successful it outgrew its original remit and has now become the premier winter agricultural show.

Horse and cart on show
The Newark and Notts Show was held on Saturday and Sunday with quite fine weather albeit a cold wind. Many people like the horses which go on display in the main show ground.

Scammell Scarab
The Scammell Scarab was a second generation 3 wheeled truck, introduced after the original Mechanical Horse was phased out in 1948. Around 13,000 trucks were made until the early 1960's when the design became outdated. These lightweight trucks were used extensively around docks, railways, breweries and all manner of public works sites. This one was on display at the Tractor Heritage Show held on Newark Showground.
