The Scammell Scarab was a second generation 3 wheeled truck, introduced after the original Mechanical Horse was phased out in 1948. Around 13,000 trucks were made until the early 1960's when the design became outdated. These lightweight trucks were used extensively around docks, railways, breweries and all manner of public works sites. This one was on display at the Tractor Heritage Show held on Newark Showground.
