The rear of Tower House
This looks largely unaltered since it was built in about 1830, probably designed by PF Robinson. The other side was modified later in the 19th century http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1828011 and http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1828100 .

Tower House, Park Row, Nottingham
At the eastern edge of the exclusive Park estate. The house's mildly fractious appearance might be attributable to too many cooks. Peter Frederick Robinson and William Paterson are likely to have kicked things off in 1827-33 - the nearer recessed bay must be of this date. Nottingham's ubiquitous Thomas Chambers Hine joined the fun in c1860, adding the porch, oriel and brick bands (Image]), before the city's other architectural heavyweight, Watson Fothergill, wrapped things up by adding one of his timbered attics in the 1880s. Grade II listed. The gable of Hine's former East Lodge of c1860 is visible behind the van (more visible here Image]).

The Tower House, Park Row, Nottingham
The basic house dates from c.1830, probably designed by PF Robinson and built by William Paterson for the fourth Duke of Newcastle as part of his early 19th century development of the Park Estate. Altered c.1860 by Thomas Hine, and c.1880 by Watson Fothergill. Listed Grade II. The whole of the tower appears to be by Fothergill. Although he did not normally work with stucco, the top storey is clearly in his idiom, as is the oriel window and the front door http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6118018 . Hine's work is not obviously defined.
