Hoveringham Mill Farmhouse
The house was added to the existing house http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6826196 in 1846 to serve as the farmhouse for the farm added to the mill. The wing to the left is the older house, dated 1778, with the mill further to the left. The mill and house are Listed Grade II.
Hoveringham Mill is one of 12 mills on the Dover Beck in just over 10km as the crow flies, which are described in detail in this link https://www.woodborough-heritage.org.uk/millsonthedoverbeck.html There appears to have been a mill on the site since before the Domesday Book.

Hoveringham Mill and House
This was a grain mill, with the mill equipment in the tall building and the breastshot wheel in the single storey building. It probably dates from the same period as the adjacent house which is dated 1778. The gable end of the new house built in 1846 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6826181 is just visible behind the tree on the right. Listed Grade II.

Ford and footbridge at Hoveringham Mill
Part of the long bridleway between Lowdham and Hazelford, which clearly has a long history. Hoofprints in the mud of the ford indicate continuing equestrian use.

Bridleway at Hoveringham Mill
Showing the split between the bridle path through the ford and the footpath across a bridge. The bridleway runs through the middle of the mill grounds, with plenty of notices to that effect – clear but polite.
