So far the pedestrian/cyclist bollard sign has evaded destruction during the construction of the new Gedling Access Road which is taking shape up the hillside in the background.

A612, Nottingham Rd, Burton Joyce
Recreating this 'First' for the square http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/35706 . The road layout has changed substantially, firstly with the creating of the current A612 Colwick Loop Road (2008 view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/793933 ), and more recently with the junction with the new Gedling Access Road. The foreground section of the road, once the main road now simply provides access to a few houses. Originally the access was onto the new loop road alongside the telephone pole in the centre of the view https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6509446 , but in the latest layout this access is closed and access is at the junction of Burton Road with the new Access Road https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6720506
