The combination of the stone plinth and stretcher-bond brickwork suggests that this may be a timber-framed building, but no further details are available.

The Nook, Widmerpool Road
Early 18th century cottage, with later outbuildings. Note the date - 1718 - in the gable. The way this is truncated shows that the roof line has been altered at some stage. Listed Grade II.

Foundation stones, Wysall Wesleyan Chapel
Note the other bricks with incised initials. Presumably these relate to people who had contributed to construction funds but not sufficiently to 'earn' a stone. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3829040

Homestead and Brynstone Cottage, Wysall
Although not listed these cottages get a prominent mention in the local Conservation Area Appraisal. A notable feature is the chequer effect of the Flemish bond brickwork. Brick construction on a stone plinth is a widespread feature of the district.
The Midshires Way passes along Widmerpool Road here.
