Bus shelter, Stannington
This handsome bus shelter stands on the broad street running south-north through Stannington, which was originally part of the A1 Great North Road until by-passed.
This bus shelter, and it's pair are Grade II Listed buildings. I'm sure not that many bus shelters gain that accolade. For further information http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-238971-bus-shelter-45-metres-north-of-footbridge.
The footbridge mentioned on the listed buildings site, no longer exists.

Technically called an 'Outreach Post Office', open Monday afternoon and Wednesday and Friday mornings only - 9.5 hours a week.
