Floral bike at Allendale
This old tradesman's bike has found a new lease of life as a planter outside the gift shop on Allendale Square. For the end of November, the colours look suspiciously vivid. We have to come to the sad conclusion that the flowers are artificial.

Memorial to Trooper Glendinning
This memorial in Allendale Town is to Trooper Glendinning who was killed in the Second Boer War at Klip Drift in 1902. It's surely unusual in its grandeur, especially for the time, for a private soldier. It was paid for by public subscription.
