Entrance to former department store, Holloway
"Jones Brothers, Holloway Road, is a sadly missed example of the fast disappearing department store. A beacon of taste and sensible style amongst a haphazard, downmarket shopping parade, its mixture of old wooden panelling and bizarre layout (having to exit the store to locate different departments) cannot and could not be reproduced anywhere else. It was a haven of calmness and sophistication away from the dirty, noisy Holloway Road." - quotation from http://www.london-rip.com/goneshopping999.html
Jones Brothers, a John Lewis Partnership department store, traded on this site between 1899 and 1990.

The Coronet Free House, Holloway Road
Another ex-cinema in London, some from the 1930s remain as originally intended, many became bingo halls and others were demolished for flats. How they fill such a space with customers I don't know.
