Largely obscured by hanging ivy, the southbound bore of the tunnel is visible. I'm standing on the location of the northbound track, with the edge of the northbound bore just visible on the extreme left of the photo.

View Close, Highgate
Only the beginning of this cul-de-sac off View Road is in square. The house on the corner, designed by SSH Architects to green specifications and with a distinctive curved metal roof http://www.shh.co.uk/casestudies/houses/view_road/view_road.php , replaced a sixties house in 2007.

Holmsdale Road Tunnels on the Parkland Walk
The Parkland Walk is the former track of the branch railway line which ran from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace and closed to passengers in 1954 and finally in 1971. The Parkland Walk officially opened in 1984. Holmsdale Road Tunnels are closed to the public but are occasionally used for television dramas, especially for murder mysteries. They are also popular with bats and rats. The Parkland Walk heads up to Archway Road at this point and the old track of the railway passes through Highgate Wood before it is rejoined at Muswell Hill Road and heads to Alexandra Palace.
