Restoration of a mid-19th century residence as part of a wider housing in Highbury, North London. The house built in the 1850s for Dents, glove makers, although for 75 years was the headquarters of the National Children's Homes charity.

Plaque to James Edmondson, builder, Highbury
James Edmondson, builder and property developer, is a significant figure in the development of suburban North London. This plaque commemorates his work in the Sotheby Road area of Highbury - later he moved on to develop nearby Crouch End, and particularly Muswell Hill, as well as parts of Golders Green, and Winchmore Hill.
