James Edmondson, builder and property developer, is a significant figure in the development of suburban North London. This plaque commemorates his work in the Sotheby Road area of Highbury - later he moved on to develop nearby Crouch End, and particularly Muswell Hill, as well as parts of Golders Green, and Winchmore Hill.
