Diverted Along East End Road
A 143 bus makes its way along the western end of East End Road after being diverted from its usual route along Squires Lane and Long Lane following a collision at the junction of those two roads. This section of East End Road has no regular bus service - just twice a day school runs.
The vehicle is an Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 operated by Metroline and is already appearing grubby due to the grit and slush of London's first snow at the start of winter.

Sewer Vent on Manor View
Provided by C.E.Rogers Engineers Watford. The brown paint is flaking to reveal the original green. There was something attached at the top, though what it was is a mystery. Sewage engineers seem to have decided that these vents are no longer necessary - a similar vent in Long Lane was removed recently.

Wilf Slack Memorial Ground
Groundsmans implements are left standing just outside the mown playing area. The new fencing behind houses a five-a-side football pitch which has recently been created.

The Avenue
A jogger uses the footpath between Avenue House and Manor View. The area he is running past was overgrown with brambles and nettles until recently. Work to provide a new football pitch has tidied things up a bit.

Wilf Slack Memorial Ground
The pavilion and ground bathed in early morning sunshine. The covers protect the wicket in preparation for the coming match. This photo only became possible this year after a massive weed and shrub clearance along the fence of The Avenue.
