Finchley Telephone Exchange and Sorting Office
Situated on Dollis Park, the tall brick building is the telephone exchange. The sorting office is to the right. The shared site is a direct result of their common heritage as 'Post Office' buildings.

Edward VIII cipher, Finchley Telephone Exchange
Other telephone exchanges with the uncommon Edward VIII cipher include those at Alton, Barnsley, Winchmore Hill, Reigate, Newport (IOW) and Shanklin. The Finchley example is even more unusual in that it is in metal, rather than a date-stone.
