Scribbles Nursery
Located on Hertford Road near the junction with the High Road. I believe this is the original East Finchley Baptist Church built on the corner of Hertford Road in 1889, though it sits about 30 yards back from the junction. A new, somewhat fancier, church was built on Creighton Avenue in 1902. Information from British History on Line.

Coming Through
A police vehicle squeezes between cars at speed on the High Road, East Finchley, at the junction with Kitchener Road. I was surprised to learn that this is a Diplomatic Protection Group vehicle.

Camden Terrace - East Finchley
A block of shops on the High road, East Finchley. The hoarding on the sidewall of the off licence carries faded words advertising the sale of groceries, wines, spirits and bottled beers and stating that they are agents for Meux's & Thorne's. Clearly, usage hasn't changed much in the past. The gaudy modern shop fronts clash with the sober brickwork. Leicester road forms the junction on the right.
