East Finchley Baptist Church
This flint faced church in a gothic style was built in 1902, replacing the original church on Hertford Road. It was itself replaced in 1950, when a new brick church was built alongside, and became the church hall. Subsequently it has become housing. The building is Grade II listed. East Finchley Baptist Church
Detailed view of the flint face and gothic window of this converted church, which is a grade II listed building. The current church can be seen on the right. The design of the mini-spire on the new church mirrors that of the old, providing some continuity between the buildings.

Finchley Borough Council Coat of Arms
Situated over the entrance to East Finchley library, the stag and the hunting horns, along with the double rose in the centre of the shield, recall the areas popularity as a hunting ground for Tudor monarchs. The mitre refers to the ownership of land in the area by the Bishops of London. The crest, of course, is a finch - though which particular species is unknown.
