Sunny Bank
Semi-detached houses on Church Lane. The sign on the street lamp warns of resurfacing work, but would be useless to drivers as it's facing the wrong way on this one way street! It's also somewhat out of date being for works that were done in 2006.

Annette White Lodge
Annette White Lodge, 287 High Road, East Finchley N2 8HB. Social Housing for Jewish elderly built in 1977 by Westlon Housing Association Ltd., opened circa April 1978. Photo taken from the kitchen window of 12, Vane House, Grange Estate. This was built on the site of a former Stone Masons, Joslin Memorials, whose offices were located further up the High Road adjacent to Martin Junior School.

Foskett House and Sycamore House
Further examples of housing on the Grange Estate. In recent years some of the housing blocks have been cleaned and modernised. The old tile roof has been removed from Foskett House and a new floor of residences added. Sycamore House, in the background, retains its original roof profile and has yet to be cleaned.

Road Closed
A policeman stands guard at a road block following the closure of the High Road between Church Lane - on the right - and Oak Lane. The road was closed following a serious accident involving a pedestrian and a motorcyclist, to allow the police to carry out a full investigation. The road remained closed from 17:15 until 21:45 causing chaos with the rush hour traffic in the surrounding side streets.
