Off On His Round
A postman heads off from East Finchley sorting office into Prospect Ring with his trolley full of mail. Before heading off he shook his head to me and said 'This is daft!' I could only sympathise. Even the snowman doesn't seem to know whether to smile or frown! Meanwhile, the snow continues to fall.

A modern imposter, Number 1a, stands next to the original terraced properties along this street. The street leads to the area where East Finchley's hog market used to be.

East Finchley Sorting Office
The sorting office on Market Place dates from 1901. It seems to be built in a mixture of styles - perhaps it was designed by a committee! There is a rather nice finial on the roof. Further back there is an iron chimney, (in front of the flats), presumably a relic from the original heating system.
