Southbound Train
I was waiting to get a train to South Kensington when I took this photo. The nearest houses are on Deanery Close. The flats behind are on Prospect Ring (my school is behind those flats).

Off To Work
Early morning commuters wait for the train doors to open on East Finchley Station. Overnight rain has left the platform damp, but despite the cloudy sky the day will remain dry until the evening.

East Finchley Station Throat
View from the southbound platform towards Finchley Central. The wooden blocks preventing the collector shoes from striking the running rails are visible in the foreground. In the centre is the old Great Northern Railway signal box. A train of 1972 stock, all now withdrawn, sits in the siding. The bridge in the distance carries East End Road over the line.

Signs Galore
On the causeway footpath from East Finchley station to East End Road, a number of signs are placed at the junction with Edmunds Walk. There are two different styles of name and direction indication, the more recent carrying the Barnet coat of arms. The others indicate the route of the Capital Ring and advise that cycling is not allowed.
