Routemaster bus RML 903 in Holloway garage
RMLs are the slightly longer Routemasters, with a half window added in the middle with space for eight extra passengers. Holloway garage is where the few remaining Routemasters are kept, this is a special exhibition model now after being retired from regular use.

Mercers Road at the junction of Dalmeny Road
You can look, you can walk, but you can't drive, the roads here have been made cul de sacs on both sides so only for residents and their visitors. Islington council were (with Camden) one of the first to bring this policy in in London in the 70s, and have not stopped since. The entire borough now has a 20mph limit, as does neighbouring Camden. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Holloway bus garage
This picture was taken on the occasion of an Open Day during which members of the public were given access to the interior of the garage. Holloway was opened as a tram depot in 1907 and today puts around two hundred buses into daily service during the working week - which makes it in terms of vehicles operated London's biggest bus garage.
