Bus Garage, Stamford Hill (1)
Situated in Rookwood Road N16 6SS, this bus garage was opened as an electric tram depot by London County Council in February 1907, then converted for trolleybus operation on Sunday 5th February 1939. Trolleybuses then ran until Tuesday 18th July 1961 having been replaced by Routemaster motorbuses. The garage finally closed on Friday 6th November 2020. Update: this bus garage reopened on Saturday 24th February 2024 with an allocation of 30 Wrightbus NBfl buses for route 254 (Holloway to Aldgate via Stamford). Also from Saturday 23rd March 2024, this garage took over the running of route 76 (Tottenham Hale to Waterloo via Stoke Newington) with an allocation of another 20 Wrightbus NBfl vehicles. From Saturday 3rd August 2024, this garage took over the running of route 19 (Battersea Bridge to Finsbury Park via Piccadilly Circus and Islington) with an allocation of another 20 Wrightbus NBfL vehicles.

Closed Bus Garage, Stamford Hill (4)
This bus garage in Rookwood Road, has had a chequered history in recent years operating motorbuses having closed in 1995, reopened in 1996, closed again in 2000 then finally reopened in July 2002. It then closed on Friday 6th November 2020 having operated over 90 buses on routes 67, 73, 253, N73 and N253. The routes and buses were then transferred to Clapton Garage

Image for route 67. In front of the garage is the bus stop for route 318 which starts from that stop then goes to North Middlesex Hospital via Seven Sisters and Tottenham. Also, London plane trees can be seen in this photo, they being a common sight on London's streets as they can cope with air pollution.

Closed Bus Garage, Stamford Hill (3)
This former bus garage in Rookwood Road operated about 66 trolleybuses on routes 543/643, 647, 649/649A and 683 between February 1939 and July 1961. Motorbuses then took over operating on routes 67, 149, 243/243A, 253 and N83. During the 1960s, the motorbuses operated were Routemasters, and the rear-engined Atlanteans and Fleetlines. Closure of this garage took place in November 2020 and its future is uncertain, although it may be demolished for housing.
