Abney Park Cemetery
Abney Park is a historic parkland originally laid out in the early 18th century by Lady Mary Abney and Dr. Isaac Watts, and the Hartopp family. In 1840 it became a non-denominational garden cemetery, a semi-public park arboretum, and an educational institute. It is one of the Magnificent Seven London cemeteries. As of the year 2000, 196,843 burials had taken place.

The Lion, Stoke Newington
The owners of this pub at the southern end of Lordship Road claim that the building dates from the 18th century, in which case it would predate Stoke Newington's development as a Victorian suburb. The pub has been known as The Lion for about six years; before that it was the Stoke Tup.
