The Waggon public house, Southgate, London N14
The Waggon public house is situated on the south west corner of the mini-roundabout where Chase Side crosses Chase Way, with the entrance to ASDA on the opposite corner to the left of the photographer. Originally this was just a T Junction with Chase Way and Chase Side, but that changed when ASDA was constructed some years ago. The Waggon was originally the Waggon and Horses, and at one time was a Schooner Inn, with very rustic decor inside. Then it changed its name and for a while was called the Haywain. The most recent makeover has seen it almost return to its original name.

Houses, Chase Side, London N14
Nest door to the Waggon, we have what was originally a symmetrical terrace of houses. However, the two properties on the right are now used for business purposes, so the original symmetry has been lost, at least on the ground floor, though the first floors retain the original concept.

The Waggon, Chase Side, London N14
The Waggon public house - formerly the Waggon & Horses, then the Haywayne, and now back to being called the Waggon. Now painted dark pink rather than Image] which I think looked much nicer.
