Old ghost sign on the corner of Avenue Road, Tally Ho
Ghost signs are the adverts painted on the side of shops which although still appear occasionally now are mainly pre-war and if left alone can survive from Victorian times.

Corner of Avenue Road N12
Hairdressers on the corner of Avenue Road, North Finchley. Several other premises within the building are 'to let' or recently sold. The faded sign between the upper storey windows tell of a past life as home to E'wd Croft, Contractors for Removals. The main road on the left is the High Road.

Closed Furniture-Land
Located on the High Road (A1000), the Furniture-Land store closed a few years back. The premises remain in the hands of the receivers, but may open as shops or a convenience store in the future. In the meantime, a few tenants remain in the flats above.
