Path in Secret Park
According to Google Earth Secret Park is its name. To the east is Friern Barnet Retail Park, to the south is the North Circular Road, while to the west and north is housing. It is possible to follow footpaths from New Southgate station but they are not signposted, so possibly only those living nearby know the park is here.

No Work Today
Southgate & Finchley Coaches garage on Colney Hatch Lane. Normally at 10:20 on a weekday morning these premises would be devoid of vehicles other than cars and vans but it's half term and there are no school runs. I believe the fleet consists of around 20 coaches and a significant amount of the company's work is school contract related.

Princes Park Manor
Originally Colney Hatch Asylum. Building started in 1849 to a design by S W Daukes. The foundation stone was laid by Prince Albert. The asylum opened in 1851. It was built to hold 1000 patients and had 6 miles of corridors - it was the largest in Europe. The site was extended over time to hold 2000 patients and the name Colney Hatch became synonymous with madness, such that the hospital name was changed on several occasions, finally becoming Friern Hospital in 1959. It closed in 1993 and was converted to housing.
