Wilsontown Branch
A railway which served the coal mining villages of Haywood and Wilsontown. Wilsontown was originally an iron smelting centre, but isolated from its markets and the sea. The railway arrived after the ironworks had closed.

The way out from Wilsontown
The modern settlement is beyond. It passes between the buttresses of the bridge that carried the Wilsontown Branch of the railway from Wilsontown Junction on the Edinburgh-Carstairs line.
