Tonge Mill in 1969
Taken from Scraps Hill. The mill dates back to 450 AD when the Saxons Hengist and Horsa joined forces. Hengist settled at Tonge and became the first king of Kent. The mill has seen 300 years of flour milling.

Railway bridge over Church Road
The section of the East Kent Railway between Chatham and Faversham opened on 25th January 1858. Apart from the normal Electrostars, Javelins also pass along this line. Teynham is the next station to the left and Sittingbourne the next one to the right. Lomas Road is on the right here.
