Newington Grange, School Lane
Planning permission was granted by Swale Borough Council under application number SW/14/0486 for the “demolition of existing buildings on the site, closure of the existing access and the erection of fourteen dwellings, along with associated new access, garaging, parking and landscaping”. The location was at Parsonage Farm, School Lane. Richard Dorrell’s Image shows what was demolished to make way for the houses. This is the Image

Derelict farm building
Located opposite Newington Primary School, a planning notice nearby indicates that this unused barn is shortly to be demolished and possibly replaced by "light industrial units or storage" - the Parish Council is strongly opposing this proposal!

Newington CE (Controlled) Primary School
The school currently has approximately 180 pupils on roll, aged 4 to 11. There is a good-sized playground and a large field with games pitches, a pond and a wooded nature trail. There are also gardens cultivated by the children. This rich rural environment is of great benefit to the children and the teaching staff have developed a strong science and environmental studies tradition in the school.
