Gillingham Station renovations almost complete
This station on Balmoral Road, is under going extensive changes to the outside of the building. Also internally is getting improved waiting rooms and cycle storage rooms. The large heavy balls are to prevent cars parking on the newly installed paving blocks. A small section of paving is to be finished.

Gillingham railway station, Kent
Opened in 1858 by the East Kent Railway as New Brompton, this soon became part of the London, Chatham and Dover Railway. The name was changed to Gillingham in 1912. Forecourt. The original station entrance was in Railway Street. In 1932, it was rebuilt such that the main entrance was now opposite the end of the High Street. In 2012, the 1932 building was given an extensive facelift.

Gillingham railway station, Kent, 2010
