A rather bizarre house
This house in Maidstone Road, Lenham is certainly different. There is one gorilla climbing over the fence and another one swinging from a tree in the background to the left. A cow and a pig are in the front garden and what looks like a giraffe on the chimney pot. The Queen is sitting on the cart to the right of the porch with Mr Bean to her left. A soldier stands guard to her right and out of the photograph behind them is what could be Michael Jackson. For another view see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3727608 It is rather unusual for an English village!

I am grateful to Marathon for identifying these characters in the front garden of his Image I wondered who was standing next to The Queen. The “giraffe” has disappeared from the top of the chimney!

Looking east along Maidstone Road
Seen from the corner of Swadelands Close, the house, with polythene sheeting mounted on scaffolding, is number 48. I imagine this is to protect the building below once the tiles have been removed from the roof. The sheeting has reflected the sun in such a way that much detail of the structure has been lost.

There's a wonderful holiday rental cottage behind the second shop front from the left, and some excellent local establishments still trading; e.g. bakers, Fish & Chip shop, two pubs, Post Office, grocery store, posh restaurant and a slinky lingerie shop!
