Entrance to Elmley Marshes Nature Reserve
This lane leads from Sheppey Way, near Straymarsh Cottages, through the marshes to King's Hill Farm. A carpark and toilet block are in the farm. The farm and marshes are part of the RSPB Nature Reserve. (Note - closed on Tuesdays!). The lane is also a public footpath past the farm to the seawall path on the Swale Strait.

Sheep sheltering from rain, Sheppey, July 2012
It's not many weeks since shearing time, so the ewes may well be missing their fleece. Even more animals had been huddled together under this tree - until I approached, and some moved off.
