The Leas, Minster in Sheppey
The triangles of metal tube showing above the gravel at the top of the beach are handrails for steps over the groynes which shows how much the shingle has built up over the past twenty years or so. The Leas is popular in warm weather for families with small children as the tide goes out a very long way over the sand and mud so there is often plenty of shallow warm water for the kids to play in. Looking NW along the beach from the southern edge of the square.
