Wartime Evacuees on a Vintage Bus
Thirty people who came to Greater Manchester as evacuees from Guernsey during World War II took part in the 2013 Manchester Day Parade, riding on this ex-Southdown 1965 open topped Leyland PD3 vintage bus.

Manchester Day Parade, Lee Rigby Tribute
Large portraits of Drummer Lee Rigby carried by four girls from Crumpsall, where he was born, marked the start of the fourth annual Manchester Day Parade which organisers dedicated to his memory. Followed by drummers from the soldier's regiment, one spectator said it was a "beautiful tribute" as many were moved to tears (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-22745387 BBC News http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/children-lead-manchester-day-parade-4034767 Manchester Evening News).
The parade along Deansgate was watched by tens of thousands of people.

Aka St John's Chambers. Lofty offices clad in white tiles (thanks to Glyn Gowans for this information), essentially Classical, with giant Ionic pilasters, swags and wreaths, but playing rather fast and loose with the rules. Some of the details look slightly Art Deco. So, probably inter-war.
