Manchester Metrolink - entrance to tunnel ramp, Eccles
The single line which runs into the Eccles terminus of Metrolink, here becomes double track. It then goes down the ramp seen in this view, and passes through a short tunnel under Ladywell Roundabout. It then emerges onto Eccles New Road (the A57), where it mingles with other traffic on its way to Manchester's city centre, via the Salford Quays area. Image

Regent Street
Looking down the former A57 main road into Eccles from the end of ramp leading to Metrolink Station. Since the A57 was diverted around the centre of town, Regent Road is now unclassified. On the left is the grade II listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1084301 Lamb Hotel built in 1906 for Holt's Brewery.
