Old Trafford Metrolink Depot
The second Metrolink depot was built in 2011 on Ayres Road, adjacent to the Old Trafford tram station, to cope with the network’s expansion.
Initially, it was the depot for Metrolink's South Manchester operations, but in 2013 the control room, known as the Network Management Centre, was moved from the Queen’s Road depot and is now located at the Trafford facility with the Customer Services team.

Warwick Road railway station / Old Trafford tram stop, Manchester
A station was first opened on this site in 1857 by the Manchester South Junction & Altrincham Railway on the line from Manchester London Road (now Piccadilly) to Altrincham, for special-events only, and was renamed several times over the years. It wasn't until 1931 that it gained a regular daily service, and at that time it was renamed Warwick Road. This lasted until the station was converted to Metrolink operation in 1992 and the tram stop was renamed Old Trafford.
