Approaching Albion Lock (#90) on the Rochdale Canal. The Canal & River Trust have been carrying out repairs to the canal which was drained between locks 90 and 91. An Open Weekend gave visitors a chance to walk through the drained part of the canal.

Between Oxford Street and Albion Street, the canal is surrounded by modern, high rise buildings.

Towering above everything is the Axis Tower development originally intended to be a 15 storey luxury apartment block but now going to be 28 storeys.
