Stoneleigh Court, Shadwell
Built in 1879, architect RL Adams of the Leeds School Board, this was the Leeds Industrial School, a rare example of a state-run residential school teaching mainly manual rather than academic skills. It closed as a school in 1984 and has now been converted into apartments. Listed grade II (list entry 1256106).

Stoneleigh Court Apartments - Shadwell Lane
The building in the foreground of this photograph was formerly part of the Shadwell Industrial School for Boys, but was redeveloped as private residential apartments circa 2003. The buildings on the left of this photograph are new build apartments that are also part of the Stoneleigh Court development.
