Raynville Academy
Compare Image that I took over five years earlier. There has been little change in the buildings, but the primary school took on academy status, I think in 2019.

Aston Place, Bramley
The interesting feature here is the concrete road surface. All the other streets of the Astons estate are either covered in bitumen macadam, or in a few instances still have their original stone setts. I don't know why concrete, which was briefly popular as a road surface in the 1960 and 70s, was chosen to overlay the setts in this instance.

Raynville Primary School, reopened
In the recovery from the 2020 Covid-19 crisis, primary schools were allowed to reopen selectively from the beginning of June. The 'one way' signs on the gate suggest that movement into and around the site was being carefully controlled.

Wild geraniums by an urban footpath
The bright pink flowers were quite eye-catching in reality, but the impact is lost in this photo where they are much less visible.

The back of Hilltop Commercial Centre
Hilltop was originally a tannery, but the building seen here with its sawtooth roof profile is built on the site of the original millpond that was still shown on the 1965 map, so can be dated to perhaps c.1970.
