Town Street is the main shopping area for Armley; these are the last shops on the right hand side as you head up to the top of the town.

Hippo plaque, Armley Town Street
There are several carved flagstones set into the pavement of Town Street in Armley with snippets of the town's history; this one records the discovery of the bones of four ice-age hippos in 1852. I thought that hippos only survived in warm climates? See Image for context - the plaque is outside Concept Recruitment in the middle of the photo.
