WWII information board
Situated adjacent to a children's play area is this information boards detailing the history of RAF Skellingthorpe. Of significant note, F/O Leslie Manser a Pilot in 50 Sqn won a posthumous Victoria Cross flying from this airfield. He was the only RAF pilot to win the award flying an Avro Manchester bomber - the aircraft that proceeded the legendary Lancaster

Taxiway of former WWII airfield
This is the last surviving section of taxiway at the site of the former RAF Skellingthorpe airfield on the outskirts of Lincoln. Now covered by the Birchwood Estate, this short section was recently resurfaced and local schools have marked out a timeline detailing the history of the airfield

WWII RAF Memorial
Roadside memorial to the units based at the former Bomber Command airfield of RAF Skellingthorpe, which now lies under Lincoln's Birchwood estate. The majority of all the roads on this estate have an aviation theme to their name
