Neglected inspection chamber near Washingborough Road
A dull thing for a photo, but the surround carries a rivet bench mark on the angle right of frame. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3645330 for a close-up and http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm51384 for details of the mark.

Railway Accommodation Bridge to the north east of Lincoln Bowl
Brick arched bridge carrying the GER and GNR joint railway line and their avoiding line just west of former Greetwell Junction. The lines were authorised in 1879 and opened in March 1882. The bridge must see little or no use but signage is well maintained. It would need a special vehicle to access it.

Accommodation Bridge off Washingborough Road
Bridges on the Sleaford and Lincoln line have been upgraded in recent years for increased freight traffic and this little used accommodation bridge has had the full treatment with height warning and a hazard band. The bridge carries a double track railway but originally it carried a further two tracks for the Lincon avoiding line from Greetwell West Junction, hence its length.

Lincoln Crematorium, Washingborough Road
Built by the Lincoln City Council in 1968/9 to a design by David Vale MBE. Described by John Wilford, FSA as ‘perhaps his most outstanding work, and a lasting memorial’ he goes on to tell us that, ‘he (Vale) was proud of the beautifully landscaped project, especially the chapel with its saucer dome and rusticated tower which was acknowledged in Pevsner’s’. In 2016 a four-month £160K refurbishment was completed that included additional car parking and new bi-folding doors to allow better access to the chapel.
