Bridges on the Sleaford and Lincoln line have been upgraded in recent years for increased freight traffic and this little used accommodation bridge has had the full treatment with height warning and a hazard band. The bridge carries a double track railway but originally it carried a further two tracks for the Lincon avoiding line from Greetwell West Junction, hence its length.
