J.Birkett, The Strait, Lincoln
One of the more interesting shops on The Strait; a major curiosity to tourists, and probably a well-loved amenity to locals. It sells mostly electronic components, many from ex-military sources. It was closed on the day of photographing; according to Google, it is open every day except Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Strait, Lincoln
The Strait is the first section of the ever-steepening hill that leads up from the Lincoln's High Street towards the cathedral and the castle; further up the narrow street is called 'Steep Hill'. At night, overshadowed by the illuminated cathedral and here decked with Christmas lights, this must be one of the most atmospheric cityscapes in Britain.
