Gravestones in St Clements Churchyard Sutton on Sea
Many have been stored against the wall. When I first submitted this I was intrigued as to why the gravestones had been placed against the wall.
The suggestion has been made that they have been moved for easier maintenance of the grounds. The Reverend Liley has confirmed (November 2016) that this is the case it's down to maintenance.
The building at the rear was a school built in 1862 and now used to house a playgroup.

The Leaning Tower of Sutton on Sea: St. Clement's Church
How frustrating that in many a photo a straight church tower gives the impression it is leaning, yet the camera seems to want to straighten this one up, for none of the photos is this square really prepares you for the strange sight that greets you as you come round the bend in the road.
Leaning towers are quite common on the former marshlands (here: seabed) of this area, since the tower, being the heaviest part, tends to sink, but is supported at one end by the rest of the building.
This photo also gives an idea of the size of the building.
