Many have been stored against the wall. When I first submitted this I was intrigued as to why the gravestones had been placed against the wall. The suggestion has been made that they have been moved for easier maintenance of the grounds. The Reverend Liley has confirmed (November 2016) that this is the case it's down to maintenance. The building at the rear was a school built in 1862 and now used to house a playgroup.
