Ty Rhys Capel y Methodistiaid Calfinaidd Llangoed Calvinistic Methodist Chapel
Calvinistic Methodists are not to be confused with the Wesleyan version of Methodism. Calvinism is a much more dour form of religion and equates to the Presbyterianism of Ulster and Scotland. This chapel is called Capel Ty Rhys. The first chapel on the site was built in 1794. The core of the present chapel dates back to 1822. It was enlarged in 1870 and again in 1908. Outstations were also built at Penmon, Llanfihangel and Llangoed (Ysgoldy y Rhyd). All these have now closed. Ty Rhys remains open.

Parc Terrace at Llangoed
The cemeteries south of the houses are those of St Cawrdaf Church, while those on the other side of the road belong to Capel Ty Rhys Calvinistic Methodist Chapel.

Llangoed Chapel
This chapel was originally built in 1794. It was rebuilt in 1822, enlarged in 1878, and renovated in 1908.
