Artwork beside the Llangollen branch of the Shropshire Union Canal at Pontcysyllte
This hand is comprised of various bricks from a variety of manufacturers, stamped with names etc, which were presumably involved in the construction and development of the buildings and works around this canal basin and aqueduct. The hand represents the countless workers who operated the many businesses and day to day operations vital to its survival until today.

Trevor Basin
Here the Llangollen Canal turns right to cross the Pontcysyllte aqueduct. Left is an arm of the canal which leads to one of the bases for the AngloWelsh narrowboat holiday company and to Jones the Boats. Originally it had been intended to construct a canal from here to Chester but it never materialised. On the right can be seen one of a series of sculptures by Anthony Lysycia that tells the story of the canal basin and the aqueduct.

Narrowboats moorings at Tevor Basin. The pub in the background is the Telford Inn. Until the mid 1900's this basin was a bustling wharf with narrowboats destined for the Midlands being loaded with bricks, coal and iron.
