Bean Tree
A strange tree growing in the courtyard of Linwood Workshops. These premises used to be a school, but now converted to industrial units. This tree is growing in the old school playground. It has lovely white flowers in early summer, followed by bean-like pods.

The Linwood Centre, Linwood Lane, Leicester
"A good example of a 1920s former secondary school, now in use as [workshops leased from the Council]. The former school was built circa 1928 and was constructed as part of the wider development of the Saffron Lane area, the first of Leicester's social housing estates. The school was named after Mary Linwood, a nationally recognised 18th century embroiderer and Patron of the Arts.
